Warren Hills took an early lead in the 2nd off starter Anthony Cusumano when they scored 3 runs. Summit tied the game with 3 runs in the 5th inning. Micheal Competiello got things started with a single. Justin Weiss was safe on an infield error. An infield out moved the runners into scoring position. Greg Vlass singled to score 2 runs, Vlass scored later on a single by Danny Isralowitz. That tied the score at 3-3.

Summit had a big chance to win the game in the bottom of the 7th. Vlass singled to start the inning. Hellings beat out a bunt to put runners at 1st and 2nd. Isralowitz, who has gained a reputation for laying down bunts for hits, did it again to load the bases with no outs. Sadly, a popup and two strikeouts sent the game into extra innings. After a scoreless 8th inning the rain came and the and the umpires called the game a tie.

Cusumano started and pitched 4 inning. Will Gibson took the mound in the 5th. He put down the first six batters he faced. After a hit batter, Gibson got the next three batter out. Following a pair of walks, Matt Reddy took the mound and finished the inning.
