The Summit vs, Cranford game has developed into a very intense rivalry. Almost always it is a “must win” game for both teams. This year was certainly no exception. Both team were 3-2 and in some danger of not making the playoffs

The Hilltopers started fast and went 65 yards in 6 plays that culminated in a 3 yd pass from Skyler Schluter to Max Hayford for the TD. Naturally, Will Goldy kicked the first of his four extra points. Goldy added a 23 yard Field Goal in the 2nd quarter and Summit finished the first half leading 10-0.

The second half featured sprints of 69 and 54 yards by Jackson Tyler and a 14 yard pass from Schluter to Hayford. So, early in the 4th quarter Summit had a 31-0 lead. At that point the starters wert off the field. They had dominated Cranford. In fact, Cranford had net yardage, including sacks and fumbles, of 54 yards when the starter’s went to the bench.

Late in the final quarter Cranford had runs of 40 and 80 yards to account for their 13 points.
