Both teams had 3 more possessions in the quarter but neither team threatened . On Summit’s first possession of the 2nd quarter they had 7 play drive to to tie the game. The drive was highlighted by a 16 yard pass to Sajer, and a pair of receptions by Max Jackson that put the ball on the one. Tyler scored from the one and Goldy kicked the extra point to tie the game.

Summit’s next possession came when Andrew Miller recovered a NH fumble and returned it to the MH 24. Four plays later Tyler connected on a 23 yard pass to DJ Jackson to put Summit on top 14-7. Sadly, the lead was short lived. On the first play after the kick off North Hunterdon scored on a 65 yard pass to tie the score. The half ended with the scored tied 14-14.

Summit stopped NM on the first possession of the 2nd half and took over on their 36 yard line. A key play was a 26 yard pass from Tyler to DJ Jackson. Max jackson carried the ball to the MH 9 yard line. Will Goldy kicked 27 yard Field Goal to give Summit a 17-14 lead.

Late in the 3rd quarter Summit was forced to punt from deep in their territory and NH took over on the Summit 38. Eight plays later NH scored the go-ahead TD. Summit had one more chance. With the clock running down Summit drove from their 30 to the NH 26 . A sack and an interception ended Summit’s hopes.
