Summit began the second round of Home-and-Home Conference games with an impressive victory over Carnford. Summit jumped to an early lead in the first quarter, but four 3-pointers by Cranford helped tie the game at 16 after 8 minutes. Starting in the 2nd quarter Malcolm Sidebottom exploded for 7 three -pointers and ended the 3rd quarter with 23 points. When you add in 12 point from Dom Yorio, Summit had a commanding 57-34 lead. Thr bench was cleared in the final quater.
Note: Sidebottom’s 7 three pointers tied Dwayne Reid for 2nd place in the “Most Three Pointers in a game.” Ba'Shawn Mickens holds the record of 9 three pointers in a game. Sidebottom play very little after the 3rd quarter.
