| Summit hosted a strong Scotch Plains team that had beaten Summit in their first meeting. The Hilltoppers did every thing right and carried a 41-37 lead into the final 8 minutes. With 1:09 left in the game Summit was up 54-50. Scotch Plains drained a 3 pointer to make it 54-53 with 31 seconds left. On summit’s possession they were fouled , but made only one of two trys. Scotch Plains sank a field goal to semd the game to overtime. In overtime Summit had three chances to grab the lead, but could sink only 2 of 6 free throws.
In the last minute of regulation and the four minute of the overtime, Summit went to the line 10 times but hit on only four. It was a tough loss.
