     Saturday, Apr 21 5:00PM  Away Garden City  Lost 10-5 Things couldn't have gone much worse for New Jersey's girls lacrosse teams at the Gains for Brains Showcase on Long Island Saturday.

    All four of N.J.'s teams lost and none of the games were decided by less than five goals.

     Monday, Apr 23 4:00PM  Away Mountain Lakes  Won 8-5 Katia Carnevale's three goals and an assist lifted Summit to an 8-5 victory over No. 9 Mountain Lakes in Mountain Lakes. Julia Szynal scored two goals and Anna Huntley-Robertson added a goal with two assists for Summit, which led 5-3 at halftime. Amy Martino made six saves in net.

    Won 14-5 Julia Szynal netted three goals and four other players had two to help power Summit, No. 3 in the NJ.com Top 20 to a 14-5 win over Bronxville (N.Y.) in Broxville, New York.

    Katia Carnevale, Anna Griffith, Emily Paytas and Ava Spotts all scored twice with Carnevale and Spotts adding assists. Anna Huntley-Robertson posted a goal and three assists. Kelsey Space and Sophie Zachara also scored. Amy Martino turned aside six shots.

    Summit led by three goals at halftime and pulled away by outscoring Bronxville 7-1 in the second half.

    Saturday May 5 5:00PM Away Oak Knoll UCT Finals Won 10-8 With Oak Knoll making a bid for a second-half rally Katia Carnevale struck for two goals late to send the Hilltoppers to a jubilating 10-8 win over Oak Knoll in the county final. Carnevale finished with four goals.

    Julia Szynal opened the second half with her third goal to give Summit an 8-6 lead with more than 23 minutes to play The game went 15-plus minutes without a goal before Oak Knoll converted from the 8-meter free position with 8:39 to play to cut Summit's lead to 8-7.

    Carnevale helped Summit suspend any momentum Oak Knoll with a goal to make it 9-7 with 7:06 left . Carnevale essentially put the game on ice less than two minutes later when she took a pass from Turk and scored to give Summit the 10-7 lead.

    Amy Martino was stellar for Summit as she posted eight of her 10 saves in the first half, helping the Hilltoppers stave off an Oak Knoll attack that was furious at times.

    Won 11-8 Julia Szynal scored three goals and dished out an assist to lead Summit, No. 3 in the NJ.com Top 20, to a against Morristown, No. 5.

    Summit improved to 14-2 with its seventh win a row and ninth against New Jersey competition. Morristown (11-6) had a six-game winning streak snapped.

    Summit took over the game after trailing 7-6 at halftime. Summit scored five goals to Morristown's one in the second half. Summit advanced to 14-2 on the season while Morristown dropped to 11-6.

    Anna Huntley-Robertson added two goals and two assists, Katia Carnevale scored three goals, Helen Johnson chipped in two goals and Anna Griffith finished with a goal for Summit. Amy Martino made 6 saves.

    Goalkeeper Amy Martino made 11 saves for Summit, which will face North Jersey Section 1 champions Immaculate Heart, No. 14 in the NJ.com Top 20, in the Group 3 semifinals on Wednesday at 4:30 P.M. in West Essex.

    Wednesay, May 30 4:30PM Away Group finals @ West Essek vs. Immaculate Heart.
    Won 11-6 Immaculate Heart, No. 12 in the NJ.com Top 20, entered Wednesday's Group 3 semifinal against No. 3 Summit with a defense that had allowed just 10 goals once in its last 17 games. That backer defense kept Summit in check, limiting the Hilltoppers to just four goals in the first half, but a four-goal run in the second half helped Summit secure the 11-6 win at West Essex.

    The win books Summit's third straight trip to the Group 3 final, where it will face No. 2 Moorestown on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Kean University.

    Saturday, June 2 2:00PM Kean Univ. Group 3 Finals vs. Moorestown Lost 7-6 Summit, No. 2 in the NJ.com Top 20, and No. 3 Moorestown and Summit have been titans in girls lacrosse for years. Summit had won a group title for five straight years entering Saturday's Group 3 final against Moorestown, with its last two wins coming after a move to Group 3, But on Saturday, in the third straight meeting against the two programs in the Group 3 final, Moorestown finally got the better of its new rival with a 7-6 win7.
