Summit went to Elizabeth for a 4:15 game. Summit’s bus was late, the weather turned ugly, the wind blew hard, rains came, but the game was exciting.

Summit started fast with 3 runs in the first. Reddy was hit by the pitcher, Israllowitz singled and Mutolo walked to load the basses. Weiss‘s single drove in two runs and Carlson singled to score the 3rd run. Elizabeth scored twice in the bottom of the 1st.

Summit made it 4-2 in 3rd when Israllowitz single and moved to 3rd on an error. Mutolo lofted a sacrifice fly to put Summit up 4-2 score 4-2. That lead was erased in the 5th when Elizabeth tagged Hellings for five consecutive singles. Reddy was brought on in relief and and delivered three straight outs, but Elisabeth had scored 4 runs and taken a 6-4 lead.

In the 6th Hellings led off with a double, moved to 3rd on a wild pitch. He scored on Carlson’s single, That closed the gap to 6-5.
Summit’s last chance came to bat in the 7th. Pitch hitter, Sam Cahill singled to start the inning. Tarashuk singled to keep the rally alive. Reddy was hit by the pitcher and Israllowitz singled in two runs to give Summit a 7-6 lead.

In the bottom of the 7th Reddy got the first two batter on a fly ball and a strikeout. The next batter singled, but Reddy struck out the the final batter.
