Summit (the 10th seed) traveled to Lincoln Park in Jersey City to take on 7th seeded Ferris. As usual, when the chips are down, Summit turned Matt Reddy to take the mound. He disturbed 8 Ferris hits and Summit played error free defense to hold Ferris scoreless..
Ferris contributed to their loss with 3 truly egregious errors in the in the early innings that helped Summit jump to 4-0 lead at the end of the 4th inning .
Christopher Tarashuk had a big day at the plate, going 2 for 3 including
a towering tipple that drove in 2 runs in the 2nd inning.
Summit will meet 2nd seeded Nutley on Thursday May 23, time to be determined
