Summit turned the tables on New Providence, winning 6-1, avenging an early season 7-1 loss. Will Hellings pitched a great game allowing only one run over the seven innings, on only 80 pitches.

Summit broke the game open in the first inning. Singles by Israllowitz, Hellings and Weiss and a double by Carlson netted 3 runs. Israllowitz’s hit came when he, yet again, beat out a bunt.

Summit added two unearned runs in the 4th. Carlson walked, followed by two errors by the New Providence shortstop. The final run came in the 5th. Hellings led off with his 3rd single, another error by the shortstop and and an RBI single by Competiello
