This game was settled early and the main question was would there be a mercy ending. Sam Cahill allowed only two hit over the 6 innings he was on the mound. The final inning was pitched by James Karafin and he put Pingry down 1-2-3.
Note: We can’t say for sure, but Competiello, playing 3rd base, handled 10 balls that were hit at him. Ten has got to be a record!
