Summit held a 5-4 lead with 7 seconds left in the first half before Will Kein buried a momentum swinging shot at the halftime horn to bring the score to 6-4. The Hilltoppers pitched a second half shutout behind tough defense from Jude Avelino, Jonty Hodges, and Taylor Christ. Summit was anchored in goal by Grant McCormack with 4 saves. Lost 12-6Hunterdon Central:Summit suffered the second loss of their season 12-6 vs. Hunterdon Central. The Hilltoppers kept it close before halftime with stingy defense and strong offensive presence from Dylan Sebastian and Colin Beatty. Sebastian and Beatty each scored twice, while Pat Lumelleau and Christian Alvarez also scored for Summit. Summits record is currently 4-2.

Won 6-3 Chatham:Summit defeated Chatham 6-3 to get back in the win column. Dylan Sebastian and Colin Beatty led the way with two goals each, while John Morano and John Murray found the back of the net as well. The Hilltoppers were especially efficient in man up situations, scoring twice. Grant McCormack anchored the defense with 9 saves. Summits record is currently 5-2.

Bergen Catholic:Summit defeated Bergen Catholic 9-5. The Hilltoppers got out to a fast start, building a 2-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. Bergen Catholic clawed back and by the middle of the 3rd quarter found themselves with a 5-4 lead. Summit persevered and pushed back even harder behind 4 goals from John Murray, 2 goals from Dylan Sebastian, and a goal apiece from Brian Parella and Pat Lumelleau. The defense was led by Rhet Grieco, Michael Sajer, and Jude Avelino. Summits record is currently 6-2.

Won 4-3 Westfield:Summit defeated Westfield 4-3. The Hilltoppers raced out to an early 3-0 lead before Westfield broke through. Dylan Sebastian led Summit with 2 goals, who also saw great goals from Andy Lumelleau and John Murray. Rhet Grieco, Jordan Lowry, and Chris Magovern were stout defensively consistently snuffing out the Westfield attack. Grant McCormack finished the game with 6 saves. Summits record is currently 7-2.

Lost 8-2 Summit lost to Seton Hall Prep 8-2. The Hilltoppers won a stingy 1st quarter behind a goal from Dylan Sebastian and stellar team defense. Matt Erman and James Wattick were especially efficient at the faceoff “X”. By the half, Seton Hall Prep settled in offensively and had netted 5 goals to Summits 2. The Hilltoppers were shut out in the 2nd half for the 2nd straight game against a tough opponent. The final score was 8-2. Grant McCormack finished the game with 6 saves. Summits record is currently 7-4.

Won 14-0 Summit defeated Glen Rock 14-0. The Hilltoppers were lead by Dylan Sebastian with 5 goals. Brian Parella, Pat Lumelleau, Colin Beatty, John Murray, Conor St. Amant, and Andy Lumelleau also scored in a balanced team effort. Jonty Hodges and Jordan Lowry led the defense in front of Grant McCormack’s 2 saves. Summits record is currently 8-4.

Lost 9-7 Summit lost to Don Bosco Prep 7-9. The Ironmen jumped out to a 5-1 lead after the first quarter which proved insurmountable for the Hilltoppers. Colin Beatty and Dylan Sebastian each scored twice in a valiant comeback effort that fell just short. Will O’Connell finished the game with 8 saves. Summits record is currently 8-5

Won 12-0 Summit completed its 7 game homestand with an impressive 12-0 win over Randolph. The Hilltoppers were able to jump out to a 7-0 lead at the end of the first quarter behind goals from Pat Lumelleau, Dylan Sebastian, Brian Parella, Colin Beatty, James Wattick, Chris Magovern, and John Morano. Rhett Grieco, Michael Sajer, and Jude Avelino led the defense while Grant McCormack and Will O’Connell kept a clean sheet in goal. Summits record is 9-5.

Won 11- 4 Summit defeated Bridgewater 11-4. Dylan Sebastian led the Hilltoppers with 4 goals, which also saw Christian Alvarez and Pat Lumelleau score twice, and Chris Magovern, Colin Beatty, and Andy Lumelleau score once. Rhett Grieco and Michael Sajer led the way defensively for Summit with 6 combined ground balls. Will O’Connell and Grant McCormack combined to finish with 6 saves. Summits record is currently 10-5.

Summit was defeated by Don Bosco Prep 13-5. The Hilltoppers took control of the first 5 minutes, opening up a 2-0 lead with goals from John Murray and James Wattick. Don Bosco then scored 10 unanswered to our the game away. Dylan Sebastian finished with 2 goals in the second half and Duke Darcy scored as well. Grant McCormack and Will O’Connell combined for 14 saves. Summits record is currently 10-6.
