Summit traveled to Linden to take on the 6th seeded Tigers. Summit played a very effective zone defense that allowed the Hilltoppers to take a 19-18 lead at halftime. However the inability of Summit to connect on 3-pointers allowed Liden to pull away to lead by 6 going into the final quarter. As the Tigers widened the lead Summit was forced to foul, but Linden went 6 for 6 from the foul line in the closing minutes.
In the past Summit has relied heavily on 3's but the well went dry in Linden. Summit connected on only 1 of 16 tries, while Linden managed 18 points on 3's. Literally the difference in final score.
Malcolm Sidebotton led Summits scoring with 10 points and Eric Baier had 9.
