| Summit was seeded 7th and Mendham 10th, but those who remember the days of the Iron Hills Conference knew it would be a barn burner. They were not to be disappointed. At the end of the first half Summit was on top 25-24.
The 3rd quarter turned out to be a bit of a disaster. Summit was held to only 5 points and Summit entered the final 8 minutes behind by 9 points. How to make up 9 points in 8 minutes? Eric Baier and Malcom Sidebottom, that’s how. Baier scored 8 points, Sidebottom scored 7 and Dom Yorio added a field goal in those 8 minuutes. The defense held Mendham to 9 point and the game went to overtime. In overtime Baier and Will Hellings combined for 9 point and the victory.
