| Summit took on Caldwell the night before its big game against Rahway in the UCT. Caldwell had a strong record. Summit was way off its play for the first three quarters. Shots the regularly drop through the hoop, didn’t go in. Caldwell took a 14-12 lead in the first quarter. Summit managed only 6 points in the 2nd quarter and 7 in the 3rd. As a result Summit was down 27-25 with 8 minutes left.
Someone seemed to throw a switch to start the 4th quarter. Everything that rolled out earlier went in and Summit outscored Caldwell 18-4 to win going away. Eric Baier led the scorers with 19 points, Will Hellings added 12 points plus 6 rebounds.
