It has been a long time since every seat in the gym has been filled. The rivalry with Delbarrton is intense. Partly because of the overtime loss last year and the fact that over the years Delbarton lures away so many potential Summit athletes. The game itself was a barnburner which came down to the very last second when Delbarton failed to get off a shot after inbounding the ball at their end with 2 seconds left.
It was a big day for Eric Baier who came through with 26 points and a game high 6 rebounds. Charles Lord nailed back to back 3s in the 4th quarter to keep Summit in the lead.
Note: JV games are usually played so that the entire roster get serious playing time. NOT this time. This was Derbarton, only 7 players saw action. Charlie Schaffer led the JV to victory with 5 3-pointers and 6 for 6 from the foul line for 21 points.
