Hillside’s record was strong enough that a tough game was anticipated. However, Summit pulled away in every quarter, winning by 19 point even after allowing the bench to see significant playing time. As usual Eric Baier led all players, scoring 27 points and increasing his carrier points to 1049.
It is worth mentioning that Baier and Will Hellings have become a synergistic pair. They feed each other and are more productive together than separately.
That pair were the top scorers and the top rebounders (44 points and 12 rebounds as a pair). Joe Lusardi was also in double digits (10 pts). As a team Summit hit on slightly more than 50% of its shots. A strong performance.
Summit will take on Roselle (Saturday, Noon, at Summit) in the 1st round of the UCT.
