When you play New Providence at their gym it is almost always exciting. Summit raced to a 14-4 lead in the 1st quarter. It looked like it might be a blowout. However, New Providence moved to a zone defense late in the quarter and was able to out score Summit 16-13. As with the the Oratory game, The zone took its toll. In fact, Summit had only one FG and one 3 Pointer in entire 2nd half as New Providence began to narrow the gap. Thankfully Summit was strong at the foul line, hitting 11 of 17 tries to salvage a 2 point victory.
As is often the case Eric Baier led the scoring with 17 points and the rebounds with 7.
