Both Summit and Oratory entered the game with 3-1 records and the stands were packed. Summit led in each of the first 3 quarters. So as they started the 4th quarter the Hilltopers held a comfortable 41-29 lead. But Summit’s shooters ran dry in the final 8 minutes, with only one FG. However, Summit hit 7 of their 8 free throws tries. So with only 10 seconds on the clock they held a 50-48 lead. Oratory raced down, threw up a 3 pointer that won the came with 3 seconds left. Summit held the lead for every second of the game except the last 3. Heartbreaking!
Eric Baier led the scoring with 16 point and also had 9 rebounds. Will Hellings scored 12 points and had 7 rebounds.
Thanks to Mrs. Schaffer who tracked the rebounds, flawlessly.
