Summit’s regular season ended with a 61-54 victory over a tough Pingry team. In fact, Pingry led 18-12 at the 1st quarter (18-12) at the 1st quarter and 24-22 at the half. Summit managed a 41-37 lead going into the final 8 minutes. Summit was plagued by layups that just wouldn’t drop and free throws that wouldn’t go in. Summit appeared to take over in th 4th quarter as they built a 55-46 lead mid way through the final quarter and won by 7.
Summit was able to connect on only 4 of 15 free throws. As usual Eric Baier led the scoring with 21 points. Will Hellings scored !7 and Jalen Russell was in double digits with 12 points.
Baier’s 21 points put him at 1,190 career points with at least one more game to play.
