Summit hosted a very strong New Providence team who they had lost to in overtime when they met at New Providence. Summit dominated the first half 23-15 and looked hard to beat. However, in the in the 2nd half it was another story. When trying get the ball over the center line they completely abandoned dribbling and just passed the ball around until their 10 seconds were up or the ball intercepted. There were at least 6 instances where Summit turned ball over without getting the ball into Summit’s offensive half.
In spite of the turnovers Summit still led 30-28 beginning the final quarter. It was a strange quarter. New Providence Started with a 2-pointer to tie the score. All the rest of their 15 points came at the foul line.
Olivia Lawlor led Summit with 13 points
