Summit vs Edison 10/30
  1st 2nd 3rd 4th TOTAL
Summit 0 7 7 3 17
Edison 6 7 0 7 20

Summit took the opening kick-off and moved quickly to the Edison 30 yardline and things looked good. However, Summit turned the ball over on a fumble. Edison took over and 8 plays later they were in the end zone. Our defense seemed a bit baffled by Edison’s speedy offence. They missed the extra point. Summit’s next two possessions also ended in fumbles and resulted in Edison taking a 13-0 lead. Late in the 2nd quarter finally got on scoreboard when Schaffer connected with St. Amant on a 45 yd TD pass. “No miss” Froschauer made the kick.

Late in the 3rd quarter Summit scores score to take the lead 14-13. In the 4th Froschauer kicked a Field Goal to make it 17 in shivering cold. Summit breathed a bit easier. However, it was not to be as Edison scored to give them a 20-17 lead. Late in the 4th Summit stopped Edison with time left to get in possession for a Field Goal, but the rets ruled otherwise.

Note: I had a hard time writing in the almost freezing temperature. When I got home and looked at my notes I could only manage limited stats. Sorry
