Jason Flores, Jared Chellevold and Jon Campagna combined for a 3 hit shutout at Boonton. Flores started and pitched the first 3 innings, Chellevold pitched the next two and Campagna the final two. Because of a quirk in the pitching rules (The starter must go 4 innings for a win) Chellevold was credited with the win, but all three pitched very well. Summit got off to a fast start when Chellevold doubled off the fence, Kyle Bennett singled him home, and Joe Mormak's Home Run made it 3 - 0. Campagna doubled and Emlen Fischer singled, but they were left stranded as the inning ended. That was all the scoring that was necessary, but Summit picked up an unearned run in the 5th and another run in the 7th when Ben Wheeless singled, moved to 2nd on a wild pitch and came home on Campagna's single. Summit had the dubious distinction of leaving 11 men on base.
