Emlen Fischer got his first start of the season and got his first win. Thru 6 innings he gave up only 3 hits and 1 earned run. In the last of the 7th, leading 10 -3, Fischer would have made it through but for two key fielding errors. Eventually PH managed to get 4 runs (only 1 earned) and Jared Chellevold came in to pitch to the final batter after the score got to 10-7. Chellevold threw only one pitch which resulted in a fielder's choice to end the game. In the 2nd inning Summit tied the score when Jon Campagna walked and Josh Lipsey and Duane Dates got back-to-back singles. Three more runs were added in the 4th on a double by Lipsey, a walk to Dates, singles by Luberto and Chellevold and a double by Kyle Bennett. Campagna led off the 5th with a single and Lipsey was hit by a pitch. A Dates double scored Campagna and Lipsey later came home on a throwing error by the catcher. Chellevold led off the 6th with a double and was driven in by Ben Wheeless' single. In turn, Wheeless was batted in by a Campagna double. Another double by Lipsey scored Campagna and Lipsey eventual scored the last run when the pitcher balked. The 10-3 lead looked solid, but it eventual got to 10-7 with two on base and the tying run at the plate. Fortunately that is as far as it got.
