Jared Chellevold pitched a masterful 2 hit shutout and Summit converted its 5 hits into 6 runs. After a
somewhat shaky 1st inning Jared settled down nicely and struck out 10 and didn't walk anyone after that 1st
inning. In the 4th Parsippany's cleanup hitter reached 3rd on a single that was mishandled in left, followed by a
wild pitch. Jared proceeded to strikout the 5 and 6 batters, and got the 7 slot to ground 4-3. Again in the 7th
inning Abrantes doubled with one out (for their 2nd hit) but again Jared Kd the next two to end the game.
Summit's big 3rd inning got started with a monstrous double by Jon Campagna. Josh Lipsey laid down a great
sacrifice bunt that was mishandled by the catcher. Duane Dates then dropped a near perfect bunt that
Parsippany could do nothing about. A single by Fred Luberto brought home another run Errors put Chellevold
and Kyle Bennett on base and a single by Joe Mormak brought home a couple more runs for a 5 run inning.
The final run came when Fred Luberto got on by a error and Brendan Reilly singled him home.
