The key phrase is NO HITs. Jared Chellevold pitched the 1st Summit NO HITTER in over two years and he chose the 1st round of the UCT to do it. As a measure of how "on" Jared was, Bearley failed to get a single ball out of the infield. Fred Luberto continued some heavy hitting that began in the eventually canceled Mt. Olive game. He garnered 3 of Summit's 6 hits, 2 singles and a double, scored 2 runs and had 1 RBI. A pair of sacrifice flys, one by Chellevold and one by Joe Mormak drove in two of Summit's runs. Duane Dates scored a run in 4th when he was walked, stole 2nd, went to 3rd on a wild pitch and scored when the third baseman didn't handle Luberto's ground ball. Dates scored the 5th and final run when he led off the 6th inning with a big triple and scored on a single by Luberto. Summit played very good defensive ball, but continued to leave a lot of runners (10) on base.
