This was another heartbreaking loss to Mt. Olive. As with the previous Mt. Olive game it was close all the way and we had a couple of chances at the end to send it into overtime, but the ball just wouldn't go in the hoop. We started slowly and fell behind by 5, but in the 2nd Period John Foushee had 11 of his season high 24 points to keep it close. In the third quarter John Brown,John Foushee, and Brian Rush combined for 17 points as we pulled to within 1. With less than a minute left, and the score 54-53 in favor of Mt. Olive, there was a scuffle under the hoop and Brown was called for a technical foul. Mt. Olive's Yarnold calmly sank both free throws. Of course Mt. Olive also got the ball. We regained position with 11 seconds to go, down by three. A shot by Foushee bounced off the rim and it was retrieved by Von Klemperer who put up a three at the buzzer. It looked to be on track, but failed to go down. It was a sad ending.
