Parsippany Hills jumped out to a 7-4 lead, but Summit put on a furious defense and had a 15-2 run in the 1st quarter to end the quarter up 10.
At one point they forced three straight turnovers when PH was trying to inbound the ball after Summit scores. Each time it led to an easy two for
Summit. In that quarter John Foushee scored 14 points and Kai Donaldson contributed the other 5. Unfortunately, everything went wrong in
the 2nd quarter and we were only able to muster 5 points as HP closed to within 3. The 3rd quarter got off to a bad start and HP pulled ahead
27-26. But that was last time HP would have the lead. Brian Rush, with some great assists from Matt Von Klemperer, took charge of the
scoring with 9 points in the quarter. The quarter ended with Summit ahead by 7, 41-34. In the 4th quarter Summit pulled ahead by 11 only to
see PH cut it quickly back to 7. But that was as close as they would get . Brian Rush had 16 of his game high 19 in the second half. Foushee
finished with 17 points and Kai Donaldson had 10.
