Summit came into this preliminary round game heavily favored, but found themselves down 4 at the half. Things improved a bit in the 3rd quarter as Summit gained a one point lead. Through 3 quarters John Foushee had been held to 3 points, in the fourth he found his game and managed to score 9 of his game high total of 12 points. The 4th quarter was a scoring bonanza for the whole team as they set a season high scoring record for a single quarter with 30 points. Summit went to the free throw line often in the 4th quarter and as a result scored a season high 15 free throws. Scoring was widely spread over the 7 players who saw action. John Brown and Brian Rush each had 10 points. It was scary for awhile, but Summit advanced to the 1st round of the tournament.

JV results
Summit defeated Brearley in the UCT 50-45. Summit was in command from the beginning and led by as much as 16 points. Brearley ran off a number of 3's at the end, the last one at the buzzer.
