Summit vs Hanover Park

Summit was really in the doldrums for 3 quarters of this game. Things started out slowly as no one was able to score for the first 3 ½ minutes of the game. HP finally broke the ice with a free throw. Erica Berger came alive with 3 FGs to lead Summit to an 8-3 advantage at the end of the 1^st Quarter. HP came back with a ferocious defense and grabbed a 25-24 lead at the half. Summit was behind 29-31 when an 8-2 run gave us the lead 37-33 as the 3^rd quarter came to an end. At last things were looking good for Summit, but not for long. HP started the 4^th quarter with a 5-0 run to retake the lead. Fortunately Summit came to life with 12 unanswered points to put the game out of reach. Phew! Marissa Kellogg led Summit with 12 points. Erica Berger and Danielle Proper were also in double figures with 11 and 10 points respectively. Karin Bennett had a personal best with 8 points. Stephanie Bruce was not dressed for the game.
