For the fourth time this year Summit lost a game under the
10 run rule. The highlight of the game for Summit came in the
2nd inning when Matt Benedetti hit a home run over the
right field fence. At the time that tied the game at 1-1. The
only other hit by Summit was a single by Bill Wheeler.
Going into the bottom of the 5th it was still close at 3-1, but
then things collapsed. After an initial strikeout Mendham launched
5 singles and 4 doubles. Throw in an error by Summit and Mendham
had 8 runs and it was all over.
