This game got off to a bad start as Summit was unable to get any shots to drop in the first two periods, sinking only 6 of their 23 attempts. In spite of that, and ten first half turnovers, they were still in the game (20-18) at the half. The drought continued into the 3rd quarter and Dover racked up 23 points to gain an almost insurmountable 17 point lead. The lead grew to 20 points early in the 4th quarter, but Summit continued to scrap for every point and got as close as 6 points in the final minute and a half. The 4th quarter surge was was led by Ryan Carey (with 10 of his game high 18 points), Ted Schraft (6 points) and Kysim Thompson (6 points). It wasn't enough as Dover went to the foul line 19 times in the quarter and drained 16 of them. Summit hit on only 19 of 64 shots (29.6%).

Summit jumped to a 20-2 lead early in the 2nd quarter but Dover whittled away at the lead. Entering the fourth quarter Summit was on top 32-30. With less than a minute to go Summit was down 41-42. Chris Jones was fouled and sank two free throws to put Summit ahead 43-42. With 16 sec. on ther clock Shawn Riley was fouled and calmly sank both FTs to make it 45-42. Daover sank one free throw to close to within two points, but Shawn Riley again went to the foul line and put the game out of reach 47-43 with 3 sec left.
