Summit asserted a strong aggressive defense in the first half
and grabbed a 28-22 lead at halftime. John Martini led
the 1st half scoring with 10 points. As the 2nd half began Hanover
Park switched to a zone defense and it changed the momentum. At
the same time they started to focus on working the ball inside
to Steve Juskin who picked 9 points in the 3rd quarter and Hanover
Park ran off a total of 22 and ended the 3rd quarter with a 5
point lead. In the final quarter HP continued its tough zone and
it eventually came down to a parade of fouls by Summit in a desparate
attempt get back in the game. Unfortunately HP was able to 11
of their 16 4th quarter foul shots. Campagna kept our chances
alive for awhile with his 8 points in the final period.
Kurt Forsyth led the Summit Scoring with 13 followed
by Campagna (12) and Martini (10)
