Madison jumped to a 4-0 lead , but a 15-4 run in the first
quarter, led by Jon Campagna's 10 points, pust Summit firmly
in control and they never.looked back. The game was characterized
by an aggressive trapping defense that kept Madison off balabce
most of the game. A 25 point second quarter was paced by 10 points
from Kurt Forsyth. That put things completely out of reach
at half time (40-21). I don't know if it was a record, but Summit
attempted 39 free throws and sank 26. This compares to only 6
points at the foul line for Madison. Summit displayed a very active
offense with a lot of dribble penetration and rapid ball movement.
This aggressive offense, in addition to a lot of points, generated
a lot of foul shots. Kurt Forsyth led scoring with 17 and
Campagna, Ryan Carey and Gerano Tan
were in double figures.
