This was a night when everything worked. Summit hit a fine 50 % of their shots, and their aggressive trapping defense completely baffled Morris Hills. Ryan Carey totally stopped their Captain Visnal Bhalla while at the same time Carey was able to drive by him almost at will. The Summit defense was so effective that Morris Hills was unable to score a field goal in the first 5 1/2 minutes of each of the first two quarters. In fact, their only FG of the 2nd quarter came at the buzzer. Even with the buzzer beater MH was held to only 10 first half points. Coach Pendergast substituted liberally throughout the game and all the starters were on the bench for the entire 4th quarter. Ryan Carey led the scoring with 15 points and had 5 assists. Kurt Forsyth was close behind with 12 points and Lamar Freeman came off the bench to score 10. Kai Donaldson grabbed 5 rebounds to lead in that department. It was a fine overall team win.
