Summit started this game seemingly out of sync both on offense and defense. Mt. Olive jumped to a 16-6 lead and things looked pretty grim. Early in the 2nd quarter that lead became 23-13. Then Summit awoke from its coma and began to play aggressively. This rally was further fueled when Lamar Freeman entered the game and quickly sank two 3 pointers and a FG that barely missed being another 3 pointer. The offensive spurt was combined with a trapping defense that really confused Mt. Olive. The combination resulted in 20 point 2nd quarter and a Summit halftime lead of 30-28. Summit kept the defensive pressure on and continued to increase the lead. Late in the 3rd quarter the Mt. Olive bench shot itself in the foot. With the Summit lead at 10, two technicals were called, one on Mt. Olive's bench. This occurred after a MO player fouled Jon Campagna in the act of shooting. We sank 4 of the 5 free throws and got the ball OB. That really removed any hope MO might have entertained. Later in the 4th quarter an intentional foul was called on MO and the MO coach got another technical foul and was removed from the game.

For the first time this season, Summit had five players in double figures. Kurt Forsyth led the scoring with 17 points, Ryan Carey had 5 assists and Jon Campagna led in the rebound department with seven. Summit hit on 26 of 58 shots for a good 45% shooting night. Kai Donaldson sank 7 of the 8 shots he attempted.
