Hanover Park threatened the first three times they had the ball. On their first possession they fumbled the ball away on Summit's 1 yd. line. On their second possession they drove to Summit's 3 yd. line and then missed a field goal. However, they scored the third time on an 18 yard pass play, to go up 7-0 just before the end of the 1st quarter (46 yards in 4 plays). On their next possession they drove 38 yards in 6 plays to exit the half up 14-0. At the end of the half HP had gained 182 yards to Summit's 31. As in last week's game, Summit's pass defense was challenged as HP hit on 7 of their first 8 attempts.

The second half was more even as Summit gained 79 yards to HP's 120, but it wasn't until the 4th quarter that Summit was able to push the ball across mid-field into HP territory. Karim Wilburn(26 yds) and Daryl Anderson (32 yds) accounted for most of Summit's 65 rushing yards. Bill Wheeler and Daryl Anderson led the receivers with two catches and 19 yards each.

Matt Benedetti started at QB in place of the recovering Jon Campagna, although Jon saw action on defense and limited time as QB. The report on John Martini is that he will be out of action for at least 2-3 more weeks.
