Summit came on strong with 20 points in the 4th quarter
to beat Dover. The 4th quarter uprising was led by Kurt Forsyth
who scored 11 of his 23 points in the final quarter. After losing
4th quarter leads in the previous two games Summit was determined
to reverse the trend and they did. Travis Wulfong and Royce Blackwell
kept Dover in the game with 36 points between them. However, Summit's
more balanced scoring made the difference. After a 9-9 1st quarter,
Summit opened a 24-16 lead at half time with the 2nd quarter scoring
spread across Ryan Carey (5 pts), Jon Campagna (4
pts), Forsyth (4 pts) and Jason Holmes (2 pts).
It looked like Summit might blow Dover away when they built the
lead to 12 points early in the 3rd quarter. But Wulfong hit two
3s and Blackwell added another three to close to within 3 points
as the quarter ended. Summit played a strong 4th quarter to secure
the win. The Hilltoppers had their best shooting night of the
season, connecting on 61% of their shots.
As an aside, it is worth noting that six members of the varsity
squad made either the scholastic High Honor Roll (Campagna
and Martini) or the Honor Roll (Carey, Dugan,
Forsyth, and Holmes)

This one that never should have been lost. Summit manhandled
Dover in the first half, taking a 23-13 lead into the locker room.
A weak 3rd quarter allowed Dover to climb back into the game at
31-25. In the 4th quarter Summit managed only 4 points and Dover
took its only lead of the night (36-35) with 15 seconds remaining.
After a time out Summit got a good shot opportunity, but it didn't
drop. They managed to put back the rebound, but it wouldn't go
in and the buzzer sounded before the next rebound. Alex Sprinzen
again lead the Summit scoring with 12 points.
