Summit turned the tables on Mendham and avenged an earlier loss. It was a closely fought match. Summit was down 27-31 at the half but took advantage of a 12-5 3rd quarter to grab a 39-36 lead. Midway in the 4th quarter a Mendham player fouled Dan Dugan and the angry player was called for technical. Dugan sank 3 of the 4 free throws and then Dan McGaw hit a field goal to give Summit a 49-41 lead. But Mendham scored three 3-pointer, while Alex Sprinzen and Dugan were adding 4, and the lead was cut to 4 points. Goals by Dugan and McGaw plus 4 consecutive free throws by Sprinzen sealed the victory. Dugan led the scoring with 21 points and both McGaw and Sprinzen were in double digits.
