Summit closed out its regular season with a hard fought
loss to Parsippany. Summit had a great 1st half as the defense
held Parsippany's star Clarence Curry to a pair of field goals
while Kurt Forsyth and Gereno Tan each scored 9
points to lead Summit to a 34-26 lead. Unfortunately, Summit
kind of ran out of gas mid way through the second half. Parsippany
finally grabbed the lead at the end of the 3rd quarter and eventually
went on to a 10 point victory.
Forsyth hit on 8 of 14 shots for 17 points and pulled down
a team high 7 rebounds to lead Summit. Jon Campagna was also
in double figures with 10 points. Summit's next game will be
against Weequahic in the State Tournament. The game is set for
Monday (4PM) at Summit. |
