Summit was forced to play a good (6-3) Morris Hills team without the services of their ace guard, Danielle Proper, who was ill. However, Stephanie Bruce and Karen Jann stepped up their games to fill the scoring gap. Jann contributed 6 points in a close 1st quarter to help Summit hold a slim 11-10 lead. Bruce really got things going in the 2nd period when she poured in 10 points and helped Summit gain an 8 point halftime lead. Bruce added another 14 points in the second half and Summit won the game going away. Bruce also gathered a season high 16 rebounds. Summit is now ranked 16th in the state.
