Unfortunately, on Morris Hills' next possession they ran the ball on 9 consecutive plays, going 89 yards for their 2nd score. Summit just couldn't stop the Morris Hills running game, as their total of 397 yards rushing attests. MH scored another TD late in the half when they moved the ball 68 yards in 8 plays, almost exclusively on the ground. With about 60 seconds left in the half Nelson returned the kickoff 24 yards to the Summit 44. A pass to Nelson gained 18 yards to the MH 38. The second half was all Moris Hills. Summit failed to make
a single first down in the entire half while MH scored easily
