sacks). On thrid down, MH intercepted a pass on their 45 and returned it to Summit's 22. Two plays later the score was 7-0. To Summit's credit they took the kickoff and drove 79 yards in 14 plays with most of the yardage resulting from 6 completed passes (2 to Mike Nelson, 1 to Jon Campagna, 1 to Andrew Trombley and 2 to Matt Benedetti). The final pass to Benedetti covered 8 yards and resulted in a TD. The kick failed but Summit appeared to be back in the ballgame.

Summit just couldn't stop the Morris Hills running game, as their total of 397 yards rushing attests. MH scored another TD late in the half when they moved the ball 68 yards in 8 plays, almost exclusively on the ground. With about 60 seconds left in the half Nelson returned the kickoff 24 yards to the Summit 44. A pass to Nelson gained 18 yards to the MH 38. An interference call against MH, on what would have been a TD, moved it to the 23 with 6 seconds on the clock. On the final play of the half Schroeder hit Nelson in the endzone for score.

The second half was all Moris Hills. Summit failed to make a single first down in the entire half while MH scored easily the first three times they had their hands on the ball. Most of the 4th quarter was played between both squad's reserves.
