Senior Captain Emma Burke led the Hilltopper gymnasts by winning the AA again, but the team fell just short of SPF 101.975 to Summit’s 99.875. Burke won the AA with a 34.775, won beam and finished 2nd on floor and 3rd on vault. Senior Captain Mia Murdock was 2nd AA with a 33.85 and a strong 3rd place on bars and floor and 2nd on beam. Other highlights included freshman, Julia Eroles, competing 3 events for the first time and adding sophomores Jocelyn Harris and Carly Mulligan to the lineup on new events. Senior captain Margaret Matthews led off on beam and Senior Sophie Wisniewski competed 3 events for the Hilltoppers.
The gymnasts take their show on the road against St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday 9/28 and Westfield on Friday, October 1st before heading into the first tournament of the season at the Cougar Invitational on Wednesday October 6th.
