Tue 12/02 8:30pm Wayne V @ War H Won 5-3 Summit found themselves down by 3 goals after the first period in their first contest of the year. Rob Schroeder started the comeback with a wrist shot to the upper left hand corner of the goal. Sam Kenyon hammered in a rebound for his first career goal and then Donnie Bogden converted a pass fron Schroeder to tie the contest at the end of the second period. With 3:56 remaining in the game, Marshall Harden passed to Matt Donnally who slanted into the goal crease for a shot that was initially stopped. Alex Tint knocked in the rebound for the game winning goal to put the Hilltoppers ahead. Matt Donnally finished the scoring for a 5-3 Hilltopper victory. Myles Weeks stopped 18 shots in goal for Summit.
Wed 12/03 8:30pm Westfield @ War H Tie 4-4 Scott Garibaldi assisted on both first period goals by Rob Hillenbrand and Donnie Bogden to give the Hilltoppers a first period 2-1 lead. Westfield tied the game in the second period and Summit recaptured the led with a power play goal by a Rob Schroeder slap shot from the point. Westfield fought back took the lead until late in the third when Jake Grabowski knocked in a loose puck in front of the net forcing a 4-4 tie. Grabowski added two assists to his first goal of the season for Summit. 
Mon 12/08 6/8:00pm Old Bridge
Cron Tournament
Lost 5-2 In the opening round of the George T. Cron Tournament, the Hilltoppers found themselves down by three goals in the second period when Donnie Bogden hammered in a loose puck in front of the net to make the score 3-1. Early in the third period Matt Donnally scored off an assist from Marshall Harden to bring Summit within one goal. Old Bridge countered with two goals making the score 5-2. Conor Lyons played well on defense while Myles Weeks made 20 saves in goal.
Thu 12/11 TBA St Joseph (Montvale) Won 5-1 Summit took the lead on goals by Marshall Harden and Matt Donnally in the first period. Alex Tint, Donnally and Jake Grabowski added third period scores to provide Summit with the victory. Tint and Harden both had two assists along with their goals while Donnally had an assist along with his two goals.  
Sun 12/14 10:15am Mt. Kimberley Acad@War H Lost 5-2 The Hilltoppers opened up the scoring on a Rob Schroeder slap shot from the point in the first period. Montclair Kimberly Academy tallied three unanswered goals to take the lead. Schroeder closed the gap to 3-2 with a wrap around goal for his second tally of the contest. MKA answered with two goals to close the scoring. Brian Smith played well on defense for Summit.
Tue 12/16 TBA Mendham
Cron Tournament
Lost 6-2 Down 1-0, Marshall Harden set up a Rob Schroeder slap shot from the point to tie the contest in the first period. Mendham answered with three goals until Schroeder picked up a loose puck on his way out of the penalty box and converted a breakaway opportunity for a goal to make the score 4-2. Mendham added two scores in the last period. Petey Britt stopped 16 shots in goal for Summit.
Tue 12/23 8:30pm Clifton @War H Lost 6-0. The Hilltoppers fell behind in the first period and fought hard to keep the contest close. Summit could not get the offensive attack in gear and eventually lost the contest by the 6-0 score. 
Tue 01/06 8:30pm Nutley @ War H Lost 3-2 Summit opened up the scoring with a Matt Donnally goal assisted by Colin Campbell. Nutley countered in the second to tie the score. Early in the third period, Jake Grabowski set up an Alex Tint goal to put the Hilltoppers ahead 2-1. Summit could not hold off the attack as Nutley tied the contest and with 1:39 left in the game they tallied the game winning goal.
Thu 01/08 5:15pm Wayne Valley @Wayne A Won 9-5 The Hilltoppers took an early lead with Rob Schroeder and Sam Kenyon both scoring in the first period. Wayne Valley responded with a goal only to find Summit answer with 6 second period goals. Schroeder scored three additional goals while Alex Tint, Colin Campbell and Matt Donnally added individual scores to bring the score to 8-3. Donnally added a third period score for the 9-5 victory. Schroeder collected two assists, while Parker Lattin, Brian Smith, Jake Grabowski, Kenyon, Campbell, Tint and Donnally added individual assists. Myles Weeks stopped 15 shots in the first two period and Petey Britt had 5 saves in the third period. 
Sat 01/10 8:15pm Mt. Kimberley Acad@Mont. A Lost 5-3. Summit fell behind 2-0 in the first period to a quick skating opponent. The Hilltoppers fought back to tie the contest on two goals by Alex Tint. Going into the third period, Montclair Kimberly took the lead again, 5-2 only to find the Hilltoppers scrap back for another goal this time by a Brian Smith shot from the point. 
Tue 01/13 8:30pm Verona @War H Tie 3-3. Summit allowed an early first period goal to fall behind only to find Sam Kenyon score off a Rob Schroeder and Jake Grabowski set up. With :16 left in the first period, Donnie Bogden passed to Scott Garibaldi who converted to put the Hilltoppers in the lead 2-1. Early in the second period, Schroeder picked up a loose puck and evaded two defenders to reach the front of the goal where he put Summit in the lead 3-1. Verona got one goal back with :01 remaining in the second period. The evenly matched contest went late into the third period when Verona tied the score 3-3. Myles Weeks played well in goal, stopping 22 shots.

Tue 01/20 8:30pm Westfield @ War H Lost 4-2. Summit opened up the scoring midway into the first period when Brian Smith picked up a loose puck and targeted a wrist shot high into the net. Westfield evened up the score and later took the lead 3-1. The Hilltoppers fought back to pull within a goal when Jake Grabowski scored on a low shot which was set up by Alex Tint and Sam Kenyon. Westfield added an empty net goal in the closing seconds of the game. 
Fri 01/23 3:30pm Mo.Beard @USA A Lost 5-3. Summit came out strong and took the lead 1-0 on a Rob Schroeder slap shot. Schroeder made the score 2-0, with an end to end rush, by slipping the puck past the Mo-Beard goalie. The Hilltoppers couldn't hold the lead as Mo-Beard scored 4 unanswered goals. Alex Tint scrapped for a goal front rebound to bring Summit to within 1 goal of their opponent, but it was not enough as the Hilltoppers dropped by a score of 5-3. Myles Weeks made several outstanding saves in net for Summit.
Mon 01/26 6:00pm Cranford @War H Lost 6-1. The Hilltoppers fell behind by three goals until Rob Schroeder connected on a slap shot through heavy traffic in front of the net. Cranford added three second period goals to defeat Summit. Myles Weeks stopped 22 shots on goal.  
Tue 02/03 8:30pm Cranford @War H Lost 4-1. Summit opened up the game by skating aggressively and out shooting Cranford in the first period. Cranford scored a single goal in both the first and second periods to take a 2-0 lead into the third. Cranford added two more in the third period until Rob Schroeder weaved his way to the goal and scored to make the score 4-1. The Hilltoppers had a 29-20 shots on goal advantage, but couldn't convert on the opportunities. 
Thu 02/05 Verona Lost 4-3. Summit grabbed an early lead when Brian Smith absorbed a hit, but was able to pass the puck to Sam Kenyon who dished to Jake Grabowski who converted for a 1-0 lead. Colin Campbell scored two unassisted goals aided by the forechecking of linemates, Matt Donnally and Marshall Harden. With the score 3-1 going into the third period, the Hilltoppers could not hold off the attack as Verona rallied for the 4-3 win.
Fri 02/06 9:00pm Nutley @ Floyd Hall A Won 3-2. Nutley outskated the Hilltoppers and took a 2-0 lead into the third period. Dan Weber converted a Rob Schroeder pass to start the comeback. Marshall Harden picked up a loose puck at the red line and swept around to behind the goal line and slipped the puck past the goalie to tie the score. Summit continued the attack as Jake Grabowski scored off of an Eamon Troy pass to give Summit the lead.
Tue 02/10 8:30pm Johnson @War H Won 10-4. The Hilltoppers dominated by taking a 4-1 lead after one period and a 10-2 lead after the second period. Jake Grabowski registered the hat trick and Matt Donnally had two goals, along with single scores by Rob Schroeder, Sam Kenyon, Alex Tint, and Rob Hillenbrand. Summit was effective in passing the puck as a result in assists recorded by Marshall Harden (2), Schroeder (2), Conor Lyons (2), Sam Kenyon (2), Granger Jewett, Colin Campbell, Tint, Grabowski and Donnally. Myles Weeks and Petey Britt both played well in goal. 
Wed 02/11 6Pm Johnson @ War A Lost 5-3. Summit opened up the scoring early with a Jake Grabowski goal set up by Alex Tint and Sam Kenyon. Brian Smith converted a pass to the goal crease from Jake Grabowski for a power play score. Grabowski added another score in the first period. Johnson tallied 4 unanswered goals and an empty net tally to drop the Hilltoppers. Summit held the 39-23 shots on goal advantage.
Fri 02/13 5:45pm Chatham@Mennen A Lost 5-2 After being tied early at 1-1 Chatham outscored Summit 4 -1. Rob Schroeder scored both of Summit's goals off assists by Brian Smith 
Sat 02/14 8:00pm Randolph @BW A Lost 2-0. The Hilltoppers skated even with an extremely fast Randolph team. Summit's defense was solid as Randolph scored only twice. Myles Weeks was stellar in the loss by stopping 48 shots. 
Tue 02/17 8:30pm Paramus@War H Lost 2-1. Summit fell behind 1-0 in the second period to a good Red Division opponent. The Hilltoppers fought back to tie the contest on a Brian Smith slap shot. With 5:10 remaining in the game, Paramus scored to defeat Summit. 
Fri 02/20 Nutley Lost 5-2. In the first round of the Van Cott Cup tournament, Summit opened up the scoring on a Rob Schroeder goal. Nutley tied the score only to have Alex Tint put the Hilltoppers ahead 2-1 at the end of the first period. Nutley responded with two unanswered goals both in the second and third periods.
