Sat 09/11 New Providence Home 10:00AM Won 1-0 The Hilltoppers opened their season hosting highly regarded neighbor, New Providence. With an 11-4 advantage in first half shots, NP was kept off the scoreboard by several strong saves by junior keeper, Josh Rosen. Late in the half Summit got on the board first when Luke Shehata’s cross was headed in by Conor Donnally. The second half saw Summit gain the territorial advantage and they outshot NP 9-7. Defensively, it was a strong showing in Coach Chris Yager’s initial season with the Hilltoppers.
Tue 09/14 Oratory Away  4:00PM Lost 2-1 in overtime. Summit got on the scoreboard first but Oratory tied the game late in the half. After a scoreless 2nd half the game went to overtime. Unfortunately, Oratory broke the tie 2 minutes into the overtime period.

Mon 09/20 A L Johnson Home 4:00PM Lost 3-1 Jim Burns scored on a feed from Peter Laughlin to give Summit a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute. However , Johnson tied the game later in the first half. Johnson put the game away with 2 unanswered goals in the 2nd half. Johnson is 4-0.
Wed 09/22 Cranford Away   7:00PM Won 1-0 Summit and Cranford battled to a scoreless in in the rain and drizzle at Cranford. Fortunately, Peter Laughlin scored, on an assist by Clayton Johnson, in the first overtime to give Summit the victory. Both teams are now 2-2.
Tue 09/28 Roselle Catholic Home 4:00PM Won 4-0 Despite the rain, Summit had a strong first half. After many Summit opportunities Andrew Gilbert broke through and scored to put Summit up 1-0. Senior Conor Donnally took a pass from Clayton Johnson and added a second goal. Terry McKenna added Summit's 3rd goal and the half ended with Summit up 3-0. Summit's commanding lead allowed Summit to give lots of playing time to the bench. Summit's final goal came when Jack Constant scored his first goal of the season.

Summit improved its record to 3-2

Thu 09/30 Rahway Away   4:00PM Won 4-1 First half goals by Luke Shehata, Will Baker, and Terry McKenna paced Summit 3rd consecutive victory. Rahway is 4-4
Sat 10/02 Delaware Valley
Tied 1-1 Unbeaten Delaware Valley took a first half 1-0 lead. Summit rallied to tie the game in the 2nd half with a goal by Terry McKenna scored in the second half.

Summit is (4-2-1) and Delaware Valley is (5-0-2).

Mon 10/04 Governor Livingston Away   4:00PM Lost 5-1 Clayton Johnson scored the only goal for Summit (4-3-1), GL is now (5-2-1)
Wed 10/06 New Providence Away   4:00PM Lost 2-1 (OT) Luke Shehata scored in the first half to give Summit a 1-0 lead at the half. However, New Providence tied it up in the 2nd half and the game went to overtime. With only two minutes left in overtime. NP scored to seal the victory. New Providence is now (5-1-2). Their only loss being to Summit on the openning day of the season. Each team had five shots on goal.
Sat 10/09 Oratory Home 1:00PM Won 2-0 Luke Shehata and Clayton Johnson scored for Summit and Junior Josh Rosen earned the shutout with four saves. Summit is (5-4-1), Oratory is (4-5).
Tue 10/12 Union Catholic Home 4:00PM Won 1-0 (OT) After a scoreless game in regulation, Jack Constant connected on a strike from 20 yards out in the first overtime and Josh Rosen registered his second straight shutout with a five-save effort. Summit is now (6-4-1), Union Catholic is (3-8).
Fri 10/15 A L Johnson Away   4:00PM Lost 2-0 Johnson scored twice in the second half to remain undefeated.
Wed 10/20 UCT Preliminaries vs. Oratory Home TBA Won 3-1 Summit gained a 1-0 advantage in the 1st half and out scored Oratory 2-1 in the 2nd half to advance to the UCT 1st round. Alex Przedpelski, Clayton Johnson and Ashley Healey scored for Summit. Kevin Beccera, Luke Shehata and Peter Laughlin had assists. Summit is 7-5-1, Oratory is 4-8.
Thu 10/21 Rahway Home 4:00PM Won 2-1 Luke Shehata broke a 1-1 tie with the winning goal late in regulation. Clayton Johnson scored in the 1st half. Terry McKenna and Nolan Kasbar each had an assist. Summit is (8-5-1). Rahway is (7-11).
Sat 10/23 UCT 1st Round vs. Linden Away   TBA Lost 4-0 5th seeded Linden held Summit scoreless in UCT first round. Linden is 7-7, Summit is 8-6-1
Tue 10/26 Governor Livingston Home 4:00PM Won 4-1 Luke Shehata and Peter Laughlin each had a goal and had an assist to pace Summit to victory over Gov. Livingston. James Burns and Terry McKenna also connected for the other two golas. Conor Donnaly was credited with an assist. Summit is (9-6-1) and Gov. Livingston fell to (7-9-1).
Thu 10/28 Westfield Away   4:00PM Won 2-1 Luke Shehata and Conor Donnally scored with Peter Laughlin and Matt Miller providing assists. Prior to this game Westfield (13-2-2) had experienced only one loss. Summit is now 10-6-1.
Mon 11/01 NJSIAA !st Rnd. vs. Hillside Home 2:00PM Won 4-0 Summit (11-6-1) won its third straight behind the scoring of Luke Shehata, who had a goal and an assist, Conor Donnally, Ashley Healey and Alex Przedpelski. William Gerard, James Burns and Clayton Johnson each had an assist. Summit advanced to the quarterfinals of Central Jersey, Group 2. Hillside is 10-8.
Thu 11/04 NJSIAA Quarterfinals vs. Voorhees Home TBA Won 2-1 in OT Terry McKenna scored the game winner with 30 seconds remaining in the first overtime off of a scramble in front of the goal to lift Summit in the quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA Central Jersey, Group 2 tournament. in Summit. Voorhees (7-10-1) took a 1-0 lead early in the first half before Alex Przedpelski tied it for Summit (12-6-1) with 19 minutes left in the half. Peter Laughlin had an assist and Josh Rosen had 3 saves.

Summit will now face Delaware Valley in a sectional semifinal on Monday in Frenchtown at 2 p.m.

Mon 11/08 NJSIAA Sectional Semifinals vs. Delaware Valley Away 2PM Lost 1-0 Delaware Valley scored the lone goal of the game in the second half. Delaware Valley (17-1-2). Delaware Valley held an 18-6 advantage in shots over Summit who finished the season (13-7-1).
