Wednesday, Mar 27 4:30PM  Away West Essex  Won 8 -1 The Hilltoppers opened their 2019 campaign on the road at West Essex. Summits stingy defense, led by Dom Yorio, Davis Strabley, Austin Groce and Tyler Hadley in cage, surrendered only 1 goal in the game. Senior cage minder Hadley finished the day with 6 saves. Senior midfielder Jackson Tyler paced the offense with 3 goals, while John Fischetti added 2 goals. The remainder of the scoring came from Gray Humphrey, Skyler Schluter and Luke Dinola. Won 7-0 Summit JV lacrosse opened up the season with a victory against West Essex. Summit was able to control the ball on the offensive side while the defense was able to maintain the shutout.

The Hilltoppers jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 17-2 victory over Old Bridge. The Summit offense was paced by senior Skyler Schluter, 2 goals 9 assists, sophomores Luke Dinola, 5 goals 1 assist, Michael Bonomo, 4 goals and 1 assist. The remaining goals were recorded by John Fischetti(2), Jimmy Persche(2), Gray Humphrey(1) and Hunter Schluter(1). 

The defense was stingy again led by Tyler Hadley, 5 saves, as well Owen McTernan and Charlie Milne-Home also seeing time in the cage.

Dom Yorio, Austin Groce, Theo Hodges, Jackson Moller and Davis Strabley led the Hilltoppers to keep Old Bridge off the scoreboard until the second half.

Won 9 -0 Summit JV continued the season with a home-opening win against Old Bridge. The offense again was able to maintain possession throughout the game while the defense stayed strong to maintain the second straight shutout of the season. 
Tuesday, Apr 2 5:00PM  Home New Canaan  Won 8-7 The Hilltoppers outlasted the New Canaan Rams for a 8-7 hard fought victory. Summit was led in scoring by Seniors Jackson Tyler, Gray Humphrey, Junior John Fischetti and Sophomore Luke Dinola all tallying 2 goals apiece. Senior Skyler Schluter chipped in with 4 assists. 
Tyler Hadley had another strong performance in cage with 7 saves. Summits defense was led by Dom Yorio, Davis Strabley, Theo Hodges and Austin Groce.

Saturday, Apr 6 2:30PM  Home Briarcliff 
Won 2-1
Summit found the back of the cage twice, Junior classmates Pat White and John Fischetti each score a goal. 

The Summit defense was called upon again and again in this contest. Senior net minder Tyler Hadley led the way with 9 saves in the cage. The defense was responsible for holding Briarcliff to a single goal, Dom Yorio, Davis Strabley, Theo Hodges and Austin Groce were the mainstays of that unit.

 4/6- Summit JV Lacrosse looked to continue their strong start to the season when they hosted Briarcliff High School on April 6. Summit was able to take an early 2-0 lead with both goals coming from Jack Anderson. Will Huntley-Robertson was able to add another one late in the game and the JV team went on to win 3-1 and improve to 3-0 on the season. Won 13-3 The Hilltoppers improved their record to 5-0 on Wednesday with a 13-2 victory over Montclair. 

The offense was led by Jackson Tyler’s 5 goals, while Skyler Schluter and John Fischetti scored 2 apiece.
 
The defense was again stout yielding only 2 goals. Tyler Hadley was solid between the pipes and the rest of the defense followed. The defense included Dom Yorio, Austin Groce, Theo Hodges, Davis Strabley, Kevin Beatty and Harry Grange.

Offense

 Summit JV Lacrosse entered the home matchup against Montclair looking to extend their win streak to 4 games, however, this game would prove to be a difficult one with the JV team lacking in offense. Will Huntley-Roberston scored the only goal for Summit in the game that ended in a 3-1 loss for the Summit JV team. Cohen and Gange each grabbed 3 groundballs in an attempt to give the team extra possessions. Summit will look to get back in the win column as they travel to Chatham for their next game.  Saturday, Apr 13 2:00PM  Away Chatham 
Won 7-5 The Hilltoppers continued their successful start to 2019, improving to 6-0 by topping Chatham 7-5. The scoring punch was provided by 5 different Hilltoppers, led by Michael Bonomo, 2 goals, as well as Skyler Schluter, Charlie Collins, Luke Dinola, John Fischetti and Jackson Tyler all chipping in with 1 goal.
 
The defense was again up to the challenge. Tyler Hadley registered 6 saves and the balance of the defense was led by Dom Yorio, Austin Groce, Davis Strabley, Theo Hodges as well as others.

The Summit Hilltoppers will face Westfield this Wednesday, 4pm at home.

Lost Summit traveled to Chatham looking to forget about their last game and try to leave rival Chatham with a big win. Both teams came out shooting early on. However, Chatham was able to take the upper hand and took a 4 goal lead. The Hilltoppers looked to battle back in the second half but the deficit was too much to overcome and the game ended in an 8-4 loss. Goals for Summit were scored by Anderson (3), and Duetsch (1). Assists by Anderson (1), Grazia (1), and Gohring (2). Groundballs Sajer (3), Gange (2), Grazia (2), Duetsch (2). Saves by Milne Holme (2), Zipf (2) and Mcternan (8). Current Record 3-2
 Wednesday, Apr 17 4:00PM  Away Westfield 
Won 14-7.The Hilltoppers pushed their record to 7-0 by beating the Blue Devils. Summits offense was lead by sophomore Luke Dinola (4 goals) seniors Jackson Tyler (3 goals) Gray Humphrey and Skyler Schluter with 2 apiece.

The goals were rounded out by juniors John Fischetti and Pat White and sophomore Michael Bonomo each contributing 1 goal.

Won Summit was now looking to avenge back to back losses as they hosted county rival Westfield. With a strong couple of practices behind them, Summit came out ready to play. The defense responded to the challenge and only allowed 4 goals against a strong offensive team. To help the defense out the offense looked to grab some goals early on and keep them coming. Anderson and Grazia each scored 2 goals with Huntley-Roberston, Persche, and Luchner each getting a goal as well. The Summit Hilltoppers were able to defeat Westfield 7-4 and climb back into the win column. Grazia, Girourard, and Sajer all grabbed two ground balls. Saves Milne-Holme (1), Zipf (1), McTernan (2).  Saturday, Apr 20 11:00AM  Away Delbarton 
Lost 15-5 Summit suffered their first set back of the season at the hands of the Green Wave. Summit was paced by 5 different goal scorers- Skyler Schluter, Kevin Beatty, John Fischetti, Michael Bonomo and Luke Dinola. Tyler Hadley recorded 5 saves for the Hilltoppers.

Summit is back in action this Tuesday at Seton Hall Prep then hosting Glen Rock on Thursday.

Lost 8-5 Summit was led by Gray Humphrey's 3 goals as well as one apiece from Skyler Schluter and Luke Dinola. Tyler Hadley recorded 8 saves on the day. Next up for Summit will be Glen Rock on 4/25 at Tatlock beginning at 4:30.

Lost 5-2 Seton Hall Prep. The JV team looked to bounce back after a big loss against Delbarton. Summit was able to keep it close early on however, Seton Hall Prep was able to grab a few late goals and pull away in the fourth quarter and win 5-2. Goals: Grazia (1), Schluter (1). Groundballs: Wong (2), Holmes (2), Gettings (2), Sajer (2). Current Record 4-4

 Thursday, Apr 25 4:30PM  Home Glen Rock Won13-2 Summit was able to snap their 2-game losing streak with a 13-2 victory over Glen Rock. The offense was led by sophomore Luke Dinola, 2 goals and 5 assists, as well as 2 goals from Gray Humphrey, Pat White and Michael Bonomo. The scoring was rounded out by 1 goal performances by Greg Moller, Charlie Collins, Brendan Driscoll, John Fischetti and Henry Muller. Skyler Schluter also had 3 assist on the afternoon.

Tyler Hadley had another strong game with 8 saves as well did the entire defense including Deacon Donaldson, Austin Groce, Davis Strabley, Theo Hodges, Harry Grange, Kevin Beatty and Jackson Moller.

Summit will be on the road at Princeton this Monday at 430.
 Monday, Apr 29 4:30PM  Away Princeton 
Won 17-1 The Hilltoppers defense controlled their zone by limiting Princeton to 1 goal in a 17-1 victory. The D was led by goalie Tyler Hadley, dmen Deacon Donaldson, Davis Strabley, Austin Groce, Theo Hodges, Kevin Beatty and Harry Grange.

The offense was led by 2 goals apiece from Jackson Tyler, Skyler Schluter, Greg Moller, Pat White, Michael Bonomo and Luke Dinola. Summit received the remainder of their output from Finbar McCormick, Gray Humphrey, John Fischetti, Aiden Grazia and Henry Muller.

Summit improves to 9-2.

Won 12-0 Princeton. The JV team traveled to Princeton looking to end a two-game skid. The Hilltoppers came ready to play and got out early with the shots. After four quarters the JV team walked away with a 12-0 shutout and climbed back into the win column. Goals: Anderson (3), Wong (1), Duetsch (1), Girouard (2), Vigliotta (1), Gange (1), Fallon (2). Groundballs: Huntley-Robertson (3), Vigliotta (3), Gange (3), Wattick (4), Luckner (4).

Saturday, May 4 TBD  Away UCT Semi-finals vs New Providence
Won 12-5

Summit bested a local foe New Providence 12-5 in the semifinal of the Union County Tournament. Summit's offense powered the way, led by senior Greg Moller and sophomore Michael Bonomo each with 3 goals. Skyler Schluter(1g, 3a's),Gray Humphrey(2g's), Luke Dinola(1g, 2a's), Jackson Tyler(1g,1a), Pat White(1g) and Charlie Collins(1a) rounded out the offensive output.

The Hilltopper D was led by goalie Tyler Hadley as well as dmen Dom Yorio, Deacon Donaldson, Davis Strabley, Austin Groce, Theo Hodges, Harry Grange and Kevin Beatty.

 Summit will face Westfield this Wednesday, May 8th at A.L.Johnson Regional HS in Clark at 730pm.

May 5 Away (Played Mountain Lakes at Delbarton): The JV team traveled to Delbarton to take on Mountain Lakes in the first round of the JV Tournament. Looking to defend their title Summit wanted to take control of the game early and try to get some quick goals. However, the defense was the story on both sides with a low scoring first half of 1-0 in favor of Mountain Lakes. Still confident they could get the win Summit came out ready to play in the second half. Unfourtently it wouldn't be enough with Mountain Lakes winning with a score of 3-2. Goals: Anderson (1), Persche (1). Groundballs: Schluter (5), Gettings (4), Cohen (2).

Wednesday, May 8 4:30PM  Away Westfield Won 9-4 Sticks went flying. Helmets shot straight up in the air.And the trophy found itself in familiar hands on Wednesday as Summit, No. 6 in the NJ.com Top 20, topped No. 14 Westfield, 9-4, to win its second straight Union County championship. The Hilltoppers never trailed in the title game and secured the crown with a defensive effort that has become a calling card for Summit over the years.

Won 6-4 Michael Bonomo scored twice to lead Summit, No. 6 in the NJ.com Top 20, to a 6-4 win over No. 11 Moorestown in Moorestown. Skyler Schluter had a goal and an assist for Summit (12-2), which led, 3-1 at halftime. Luke Dinola, Gray Humphrey and John Fischetti each had a goal, while Tyler Hadley made six saves.

Won 16-4 Jackson Tyler scored four goals to lead top-seeded Summit, No. 7 in the NJ.com Top 20, to a 16-4 win over eighth-seeded Demarest in the quarterfinals of the North Jersey, Group 2 Tournament in Summit. Tyler Hadley had 4 saves

Summit (13-2) will play fourth-seeded West Essex in the semifinals on Wednesday.

 Saturday, May 25 TBD  Away NJSIAA Sectional vs. Ramapo Won 9-4 The team's strength lies in the defensive unit- backboned by goalie Tyler Hadley- and that group was put to the test often throughout Saturday's contest, as Ramapo had the majority of the possession for the first three quarters, thanks to an incredible effort by face-off man , who went 15-for-17 on the draw.

But even though Ramapo kept getting its opportunities- especially in the third quarter- Summit's defense held strong. That persistence ended up paying off for its patient, yet effective offense, as it took advantage of the opportunities it had and scored four unanswered goals in the fourth quarter as top seed Summit took down third seed and No. 18 Ramapo, 9-4 to advance to the Group 2 final at Investors Bank Field at Tatlock Park in Summit. Thursday Jun 6 5PM Away TOC @ Kean U
vs. Mountain Lakes		 Lost 8-7 in Triple overtime - It was a sad ending to a very exciting game where the monemtum went back and forth. Tied 3-3 at half time, Summit scored the first four goals of the 3rd Period . That lead continued until Mountain Lakes made it 7-4. The final 29 seconds of the 3rd Period was a bit of a disaster.

Mountain Lakes made it a two goal game with 29 seconds on the clock. Mountain Lakes won the face off and scored again with 4 seconds left.

The 4th Period was intense, with Summit clinging to a 7-6 lead. Entering the final minute it was still Summit ahead by 1 goal. Lighting struck when Mountain Lakes tied the game with 4 seconds on the clock.

The game went to sudden death overtime. Finally, in the 3rd overtime, Mountain Lakes scored the winning goalLost 8-7 in Triple overtime -
