Summit finally got their 2023 field hockey season started with a convincing 5-0 win over Scotch-Plains Fanwood.
Tanya Dev opened the scoring in the 1st quarter with Catherine de Gier, Lilah Darcy and Darcey Chapman adding a goal each in the 2nd quarter making it 4-0. Assists provided by Darcey Chapman and Tanya Dev. The score remained 4-0 through the third quarter and Darcey Chapman made it 5-0 in the 4th with an assist by Tanya Dev.
Molly Fagan had an impressive varsity debut in goal making 17 saves.
Summit host Newton on Friday September 15 at 4pm on the high school field.
