Freshman Boys Soccer over Westfield 2-0

After an evenly matched, deadlocked first half, Luke St. Amant broke the 0-0 tie with a goal early in the second period off a free kick from Dean Mauriello.  Sky Boggio followed after a Westfield trip right outside the 18 and free kick for Summit with a nice blast into the top left corner for a 2-0 lead. Summit’s defense held strong with multiple tackles and clears from Dean Mauriello, Thomas Hamilton, Ari Roberts and Sky Boggio on the backline, and continued offensive pressure to keep the ball in Westfield territory for the majority of the 2nd half, and hold for an impressive victory vs. a solid Westfield freshman squad.
