When I took over from Steve, I knew I couldn’t replicate his prolific, in-depth reporting. My goal is to develop a system where we can “recreate him in the aggregate” (Moneyball).
Going forward, summitsports.org will empower trusted students, parents, and fans to post content directly to the site. To that end, I’m transitioning future reporting to a hosted WordPress blog. I’ll give credentials to trusted contributors which they can use to author and post content without any intervention from me.
To make this work, I need contributions from students, parents and fans. I’d love to identify individual sport owners to drive reporting. If you’ll be at the games and are open to writing a few paragraphs, get in touch with me at todd.branchflower@gmail.com.
Feedback is always welcome and I’ll gradually work toward replicating the original “look and feel of the site”.
