Sat 04/07 11:00AM Gov.Livingston @ Phil Krug Tournament Lost 17-7 The Summit High School JV Baseball team lost their first game of the season to Governor Livingston in the first round of the Millburn Tournament.  The team went up early, taking a
6-2 lead into the 4th inning.   A handful of walks, along with a few errors cost the team their first win.
Mon 04/09 4:00PM Parsippany H
Won 18-8 The Summit High School JV Baseball team picked up their first win of the season against Parsippany High School 18-8 in six innings.  Tom Casey started the game and picked up his first win of the season.  Ben Roessle was on base three times and led the team’s offensive attack with a triple in the 4th inning. 
Wed 04/11 4:00PM Chatham A
Won 5-2 The Summit High School JV Baseball team improved their record to 2-1 with a very well played game against Chatham.   Mike Montero pitched seven strong innings and picked up his first win of the season. Summit's outfield  (Kenny Miller, Tim Spangler, and Tom Casey) made some great plays to hold Chatham to just two runs.  Cooper Sacks added to Summit's lead in the 7th inning driving in two more runs to give his team some much needed breathing room in the bottom of the 7th.  
Sat 04/14 11:00AM Madison @ Phil Krug Tournament @Millburn Won 2-1 The Summit JV Baseball team defeated Madison in the second round of the Millburn tournament..  Kenny Miller pitched an outstanding 6 innings, striking out ten batters.   Tim Cotter made a great play at 3rd base to hold off Madison late in the game.  The team improved their record to 3-1. 
Mon 04/23 4:00PM Morris Hills H Won (9 innings) The Summit JV Baseball team won their 4th straight game against Morris Hills in  nine innings.   David Reynolds recorded his first win of the season coming in relief of Mike Montero who also pitched very well.  Kenny Miller went 3-4 at the plate.  Kevin Johnson hit a two run double to tie the game in the eighth.  Reid VanSyckle got the game winning hit in the bottom of the 9th. 
Tue 04/24 4:00PM West Essex A Lost 12-5 West Essex broke Summit JV Baseball team's four game winning .  Summit fell behind early, walking batters and making a few costly errors in the field.  Tom Casey pitched very well in relief and Tim Cotter turned a nice double play at third base. 
Wed 04/25 4:00PM Mendham A Lost 5-2 The Summit JV Baseball team lost a very close game  to Mendham.  The rainy weather made playing conditions very tough.  Dave Reynolds pitched a great six innings.
Thu 04/26 4:00PM Hanover Park Lost 18-0 The JV Baseball team suffered a hard loss to a very strong Hanover Park team.  The loss brought the teams record to an even 4-4. 
Mon 04/30 4:00PM Parsippany A Won 11-1 The Summit JV Baseball team defeated Parsippany for the second time 11-1 in five innings.  Mike Montero pitched a very good game.  Kenny Miller went 3-3 and Tim Cotter hit a triple to lead Summit's offensive attack 
Thu 05/03 4:00PM Madison A Won 9-4 The JV Baseball team beat Madison to improve their record to 7-4.   Ben Roessle pitched a solid five innings and Tom Casey came in to shut down Madison.  Tim Cotter went 3-4 to lead Summit's offensive attack.
Fri 05/04 4:00PM Hanover Park A Lost 6-2 The Summit JV Baseball team lost a tough game to Hanover Park.  Tim Cotter pitched 5 solid innings.  Mike Montero had two hits.  Ben Roessle made a couple of great plays at short.
Sat 05/05 Linden UCTT
 
Won 11-6 The Summit JV Baseball team won their first county game on Saturday, upsetting the 7th ranked Linden.  Mike Montero pitched a solid five innings.  Dave Reynolds and Tom Casey both came in to shut down Linden late in the game.  Tim Cotter continued swinging a hot bat.  Kenny Miller played an outstanding game in Center Field.  Greg Lasaracino came up with a big hit to give Summit some breathing room late in the game.
Mon 05/07 4:00PM Parsippany Hills H Lost 5-3 The Summit JV Baseball team lost to Parsippany Hills in 12 innings.  Dave Reynolds pitched 9 innings, only allowing 2 runs.  The entire team played a great defensive game but they were unable to come up with a big hit to win the game.   The  team's record is now 8-6. 
Wed 05/09 4:00PM Dover H Won 11-1 The Summit JV Baseball team defeated Dover in five innings to improve their season record to 9-6.  Kenny Miller pitched all five innings, striking out 10 and allowing only one hit. 
Sat 05/12 Roselle Catholic UCT Quartefinals A Lost 12-2 The Summit JV Baseball team to 2nd seeded Roselle Catholic in the quarterfinals of the county tournament. Ben Roeslle had an important hit, and also kept Summit in the game with a double play.  Mike Mclean, Eric Forsell, and Tom Casey also came up with hits for Summit. 
Mon 05/14 4:00PM Morris Hills A Won 15-14 The Summit JV Baseball team beat Morris Hills in 8 innings to improve their record to 10-7.  Summit Jumped out to an early 12-2 lead but Morris Hills came back.  They scored 6 runs in the 7th inning to tie the game at 14.  Eric Forsell and Ben Roessle had 3 hits each and Mike Montero had 4 hits.   Kenny Miller was the winning pitcher.  
Tue 05/15 4PM West Essex Lost 5-0 Tim Kane and Tim Cotter both pitched very well.  Tom Casey made an outstanding catch in right field to hold West Essex to five runs late in the game.
