SUMMIT VOLLEYBALL GOES 7W-1L TO WRAP UP DIVISIONAL PLAY

Ninth Graders wrap up the season sweep of the Cranford Cougars and the Union Farmers with 2-0 and 2-1 scores respectively. The Union match was particularly exciting as the young Hilltoppers came from 6 points down in the 3rd and decisive set to capture their 8th victory of the season and improve to 8W-1L.

Junior Varsity pushed the Cougars to 3 sets but could not complete the win as Cranford defeated the Hilltoppers for the 2nd time this year. JV bounced back with 2-0 wins over the Royals of Oak Knoll and the Union Farmers and locked up the 4th seed in the Union County JV Volleyball Tournament. JV will face off against Roselle Catholic on Wednesday, 10/12 at Home at 4pm in the first round of the County Tournament.

Varsity goes 3W-0L for the week, avenging their only two losses of the year to Cranford and Union as the Top swept Cranford and defeated the Farmers 2-1 despite dropping the first set. That win guaranteed Summit its first Divisional Title in 11 YEARS! Summit locks up the #5 seed for the Union County Tournament and improved to a 12W-2L record, the 2nd best start in Program History!
